Allotment holders supported by Alistair Cameron

Bishop's Cleeve allotment holders concerned about the effect of housing development on their plots at Nortenham have received the support of Alistair Cameron and local Lib Dem County Councillor Ceri Jones in their protests to local authorities. The allotment tenants are concerned that the developers could build an access road through their site. Alistair Cameron has said that the allotment holders have an extremely strong case and that growing food locally should be supported on environmental grounds :'in view of global warming we should be doing all we can to reduce transport miles, this is a green, environmental issue', he said. County Councillor Ceri Jones is concerned that Bishops Cleeve has grown enough and cannot take anymore.
